Who is responsible
The controller for data processed on relofinder.ch is Expat Digital Group LLC, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste N, Albuquerque, NM 87110-7836, United States (imprint). For any privacy matter, write tohello@relofinder.ch.
What we collect
- Request data you submit through our forms: your name, email, phone (optional), citizenship category, destination, timing, budget ranges, household details and notes — and for corporate requests, your company details, volumes and requirements.
- Usage data via Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool: aggregated page statistics only — no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal profiles. That is why this site shows no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
- Technical logs kept briefly by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
Why we process it
- To match your request with relevant relocation agencies and pass it to them so they can send you quotes — this is the service you request from us.
- For corporate tenders: matched agencies receive an anonymised brief only. Your company name and contact details stay with ReloFinder until you decide to connect with an agency.
- To send you the confirmation and any follow-up relating to your request.
- To operate, secure and improve the platform.
Legal bases under the GDPR, where it applies: performance of the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in running a secure platform (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Who receives your data
- Matched relocation agencies — only those relevant to your request; they act as independent controllers for their own client relationship with you.
- Our processors: Supabase (database hosting), Resend (transactional email), Netlify (website hosting), Plausible (analytics, EU-hosted).
We never sell your data, and we never share it with advertisers.
International transfers
We operate from the United States and use providers in the EU and the US. Where personal data leaves Switzerland or the EU/EEA, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses provided by our processors.
How long we keep it
Request data is kept for as long as needed to run your matching and any follow-up, and to meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your request data at any time.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, object to processing, and request a copy in portable form. Emailhello@relofinder.ch — we answer within the statutory deadlines of the Swiss FADP and, where applicable, the GDPR. You may also complain to your competent data-protection authority (in Switzerland, the FDPIC).
Reviews & agency data
Agency profiles and rankings are built from publicly available, verified reviews and public agency information, per our methodology. Review authors' names appear as published on the original public platform.
