"Where do I even start? I would go as far as to say that without Anchor Relocation Services, the move would have not been possible! We decided at the end of April to move by the end of June from The States to Switzerland. During this time, we were faced not only with the task of finding an apartment that suited our budget but one that was available for our move in date. No small feat given the housing crises that Zurich also faces with an available inventory of under 1% at that time. Here is where the team from Anchor Relocation (special gratitude to Corina with her marvelously unshakeable and kind demeanor) really made their mark. They are well connected with many of the administering companies ("Verwaltungen"), which manage most of the city's apartments for various landlords (whether those are private, commercial or the city of Zurich). Not having any Swiss-based renting history, we really benefited of working with Anchor Relocation because with Anchor's "sign of approval" and their network, we shot up the waiting and candidate's list for apartments. But that's not all: they will go on viewings for you, send you pictures of nooks and corners, which aren't available on the published apartment pictures online and also do video walk-throughs. When you hire Anchor Relocation you not only get a fantastic, caring real-estate "broker" and consultant, but a team of people who try to help at every turn. We managed and organized most of the move long-distance from across the Atlantic, so having having true professionals (like Corina) on the ground, who also made dozens of calls on our behalf to different authorities was particularly helpful. Whether it was an immigration question, a veterinary question (for our dog), questions regarding our driver's licenses or support on finding the right insurance companies (and selecting the right plans), Anchor Relocation was there along the way, going above and beyond our expectations. The cherry on top was the apartment hand-over, where Corina guided us through the process, documenting any scratches and cracks, as well as leading the follow-up communications with the apartment's administering body. Across these two months, Corina and the team were not only patient, empathetic of our situation and kind, but also true professionals. Not a given, since we must have had close to one-hundred questions during these two months. For anyone still unsure, perhaps this will help: At first, the fees were a little higher than the budget we had initially set aside, but in hindsight was it not only worth it, but saved us several hundred Franks, possibly thousands. "Coming to Zürich is exciting, if there wouldn’t be the haunting task of having to deal with Zürich’s shortage in housing. Luckily, there is Zürich Relocation that made it easy for us. From getting the keys at off hours on an early Sunday morning from a number lock pickup boxes to the welcoming gift bag with wine and snacks from the Zürich region. The apartment was spotless, very well kept, and the weekly cleaning service is also remarkably convenient. We faced some minor issues, for example the relatively new TV suddenly didn’t work any longer. We immediately got a replacement that next morning, and a brand new TV a few days later. Mr. Fottner was especially remarkable, he always made sure we felt comfortable in our temporary apartment, and that anything was properly taken care of. "Excellent company! I can highly recommend! I've moved to Zurich during COVID times and they've made the relocation extremely smooth. I had an apartment booked with Zurich Relocation for the beginning of February, but then all of a sudden due to new COVID restrictions had to leave my home country half a month earlier. Within a day they arranged an apartment for me where I could bridge the time. The arranged apartment was even an upgrade to the apartment I had booked before and that for the same price! Besides that the service was excellent. The communication with Tuncer and Konstantin is very pleasant, these are people willing to help you out and understand what you need when you move to a new country. Any problems with internet, equipment in the house, more clothing hangers etc is fixed within the same day. "So so... Less expensive than some other agencies of this kind but we have had a very bad surprise to find several rotten walls and windows at Dahliastrasse just before a holiday weekend. It took them a week (!) to find a replacement apartment and we got a ridiculous discount for the rent. It takes a loong time to get the deposit back (check it in the contract . ____ Thank you for the reply. The timeline seems correct, apologies for not being exact, but I can assure you that the cleaning of the mold in several rooms on Easter weekend, visiting new apartments and moving into a new one in the middle of the week with your whole family and staying in infested apartment for several days with a baby was a very bad experience. Chf 100 discount out of 5000 rent may be according to the Swiss law but not what you expect when providing a relocation/expat service. I believe a weekend permanence would be desired. Other that the previous organization issues went smoothly and the staff was pleasant."

"STAY AWAY from this company!! They rent out old apartments, they know are not acceptable living conditions and still take your money when you move out due to the living conditions. They have apartments with low standard, such as the water in the bathtub is not running down properly because the pipes are old. They expect you to shower in filthy water and blame you instead, saying you have too high living standard. Tell me, who wants to shower in filthy water? I only stayed in the apartment for a few days, and had to move out although I was supposed to rent the apartment for a longer period. The manager insisted that I payed for the one month notice according to the agreement, if he did not find another person who rents the apartment for this period. So I had to pay the company for 1,5 month rent, although I only stayed there for a week and had to move out because of the filthy water in the shower!!! DON'T rent from this company!!"
